Sweetheart, a new year begins. I don't have hopes that it will be better than last year, I just hope that it won't be worse. I don't think that it can possibly be worse, we just have to make it through twenty days. Change is coming and I hope that it will be for the better. It is time for reason and compassion to have their say. The only good thing that I can say about the last eight years is that Warren G. Harding is finally vindicated and has relinquished his title. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful year, full of peace and happiness and love and surprise and cookies and cocoa, all of my love, always, daddy
