Gray

Today was a bad, bad day. We had to lay off several people at my company, including everyone in one of the departments I manage and love. Those three people are really talented, special, and fun, and one of them was a longtime dear friend. I feel numb and dead inside right now. The decision was made above me, but I feel awful and guilty that I'm still here when they're not.

Please say a prayer for my now former co-workers today - that they'd find new and wonderful jobs quickly and that they'd be eased of worry and stress. Thank you.

I know how you feel. A good friend of mine just had to do some firing where she works. I would hate having to do that. I am trying to get another friend hired where I work now. Wish me luck. She is about to lose her house. I will pray for your friends.

That sounds very difficult! I'm very sorry about the layoffs.

I'm sorry that you're having to do this, the husband of one of my friends at work is having to do the same thing now, and he is pretty miserable. I'll hope that they'll all be able to find something else really soon. I hope you're feeling better too,

Wow, sorry. The only people I have had to fire were totally deserving of it and I still felt horrible. It must be really hard to lay people off who are doing a good job.
You and they are in my prayers(along with all of us who could lose our jobs in this climate).

Oh I'm so sorry for your emotional stress right now.... I will say prayers for you and your friends.

Our SIL who was a driver for Mother's Cookies, was called Friday and told Mother's was bankrupt, and not to come to work Monday...He's been with them a long, long, time....So wrong how they handled it...prayers for my SIL too, thanks.

It is really rough to go through an experience like this Kristen.. praying God's grace for you, your company and the folks that lost their jobs.

Sweetheart,
most people in your situation would be more concerned about their own prospects than concerned about their friends and co-workers. Dickens would have said of you also "God bless her for her sweet compassion.". I hope that you feel better soon,

I'm so sorry for you and your co-workers. Did you yourself have to deliver the bad news? These are such precarious times. We all need to lean on the Almighty and Everlasting arms of God. I'll be praying for your friends and you. God will provide them other opportunities and you with His peace and joy. God bless. Love you.
